For me the final project helped to tied in what I was struggling with in assignment 7 and 8 and later somehow resolved. I did a lot of thinking on the layout as well, which was an important point in this redesign version. As for problems encountered this time, it would be figuring out which language to use and applying it correctly. I wasn't sure how to handle the portfolio floating layer. I wasn't sure to use ajax to refresh the div layer content or just use show/display-none by changing the class with javascript. I just ended up using multi-pages for each sub section and create a controller and view page for each one. That saved me a lot of headaches.
